Municipal holiday celebrations

The holiday season is here and that means local communities are ushering in the season with Christmas tree lightings and other town festivities.

Tonight

COVENTRY — The annual town tree-lighting with caroling will take place at Coventry Town Hall on Wednesday, Dec 6.

Santa Claus will arrive at around 6:45 p.m. and there will be photo opportunities with Santa after the tree lighting.

In case of snow, the ceremony will be pushed to Thursday, Dec.7, at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 9

HEBRON — A model train exhibit will be on display starting at 2 p.m. at the Old Town Hall.

A Jingle Bell Fun Run will follow at 2:30 p.m. Costumes are optional.

At 3 p.m., the Douglas Library will have hot cocoa, arts, crafts, stories and music. Santa and Mrs. Claus will make their way down Route 66 to the library via fire truck at 4 p.m.

The tree-lighting ceremony kicks off at the library at 4:30 p.m., featuring a musical performance by the RHAM Choral Group.

Saturday, Dec. 16

ANDOVER — The town library’s annual holiday celebration will take place at the Andover Public Library from noon to 2 p.m.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit the library for photographs with children.

Meanwhile, Tony Susi will perform a holiday concert.

Cookies will be served. Event is free to all.
